Are the Questions Going Both Directions?

A date where she’s asking you follow-up questions, not just answering yours, is a good sign — it usually means genuine interest rather than polite participation. One-sided questioning, where she answers but rarely asks back, is worth noticing.

Is the Conversation Extending Naturally?

If a “quick coffee” is stretching past the planned time without either of you suggesting it, that’s a strong, simple signal. People don’t usually let low-interest conversations run long by accident.

Watch Body Language, Not Just Words

Leaning in, angling toward you, sustained eye contact, and genuine laughter (not just polite laughter) tend to track more reliably with actual interest than what’s being said — words can be polite even when interest is lower.
